One parting line is not enough to eject complex geometries of injection molded parts.
Undercuts in the direction of ejection are the main difficulty.
So called slider are used to build an additional parting line.
The movement of the slider diagonally to the opening direction of the mold frees the undercuts and allows the ejection of the part.
Slider can be placed inside the fixed as well as the movable side of the mold.
The angle of the slider compared to the other parts of the mold should be between 83° and 97° to avoid a blocking of the slider.
The buoyancy inside the mold needs to be considered for the correct size of the slider.
It need to be ensured that the sliders are adequately locked.

They can be seen as a new interface between Man and machine
Very often a bluetooth connection with a smart phone is used in order to link smart glasses to a network.

The display is controlled via head movements, a touchpad (integrated in the headband) or the voice.
In the industry additional interaction with machines can be found where different devices send information to the user automatically.
Smart glasses allow work processes to be simplified and accelerated.

Fast access to current data is important for efficient and safe working.
Access points that are used to call up a manual for a temperature control unit or the circuit diagram for a machine, for example, are called SmartTags.
Typically, the round SmartTags are used to call up documents or system functions.
The rectangular SmartTags are used under the term SmartTag Mold for installation in injection molds.
Touching a SmartTag (regardless of the version) with a SmartPhone is sufficient to activate the function stored on the SmartTag.
This usually relates to services that are available on the intranet or, cloud-based, on the Internet.
One of these services is, for example, the free document management service Xfiles.
The access points can be programmed and customized using free programs such as the Plexpert SmartTag Writer app.
The use of SmartTags saves valuable time in everyday use. The latest version of information is always immediately available on the spot.

In the two shot molding, the second component is commonly soft and elastic.
Therefore, it is also called soft component.
Due to its flexibility, the influence of the soft component on the warpage of the part is very low.
Seals are frequently made as soft component by the two shot molding.
Moreover, TPE is typically used for soft components.

If it comes to an exchange of data between several client server applications, it is vital for the operating system to channel the data packages to ensure a proper delivery.
The channels in which the data packages are bundled are called ports and part of a network address.
Since ports are described with 16bit we can find 65535 different software ports on a computer.
These ports are categorized into:
– 0 to 1023 = Well-known Ports also called system ports
– 1024 to 49151 = Registered Ports also called user ports
– 49252 to 65535 = Dynamic/Private Ports
If data is exchanged using the http-protocol the port 80 is used for example.
In order to increase security within a network it is wise to close all ports that are not used.
This can be done by a firewall.
Some more well known software ports are:
21 – for FTP up- and download
25 – SMTP – to sent e-mails (similar to port 465)
110 – POP3 – to receive e-mails from an e-mail server
