Residual Moisture

Most of the resin used in injection molding are hygroscopic (water attracting).
After drying the plastic resin, a defined residual moisture content shall be ensured within the material.
This needs to be checked according to the specifications of the material supplier.
If the residual moisture is too high, there is an increased risk of air traps, void and other defects.
In addition to that, the mechanical properties of the part will be reduced, too.

Considering this, it is vital to measure the residual moisture content of plastic material before drying and before using it in injection molding.

Reynolds number

The flow pattern of a fluid can be defined by the dimensionless quantity called Reynoldszahl.
It is the ratio of inertial forces to viscous forces.
Calculating the Reynolds number of a fluid we need to multiply the velocity with a characteristic linear dimension and divide it by the kinematic viscosity.
The critical Reynolds number where the flow behaviour changes from laminar to turbulent flow is approximately for tubes 2300.
In the plastic industry the Reynolds number is important for the subject of the cooling system.

Rheology

The science of the flow behavior and deformation of materials, particularly polymer melts in processing is called rheology. Ring Bolt

Due to the high weight, when it comes to transport and mount, threads are attached on an injection mold in which ring bolts are screwed.
Using the ring bolts, the mold can be easily hung into the indoor crane and mounted on the machine. The threads of the bolts are always designed according to the weight of the mold. Ideally, the location of the ring bolt is at the mold’s center of gravity, that it does not tilt during transportation and installation.

RJ45

Computers communicate in the LAN via Ethernet connections. The cables used have RJ45 plugs for connection to hubs or switches.
The RJ45 plug is a standard plug and consists of eight pins, each of which is assigned to a pair of wires in an Ethernet cable.
The RJ45 socket receives the RJ45 plug and forms a physical connection between the Ethernet cable and the device,
creating an electrical connection.

The RJ45 connection enables the transfer of data via the Ethernet cable between different network devices.
This can be the connection between a computer and a router for Internet access, between computers in a local network or between a computer and a network printer.

RJ45 plugs and sockets serve as the basic building blocks for computer network cabling and are crucial for reliable data transmission in these networks.
