Since 1994, I have been working in the field of simulation. From the beginning, the focus was set to the injection molding process. Over the time, I have had the chance to work with all known simulation software packages, as well as I have simulated several hundreds of parts and molds.
Since 2006, I am CEO of the PLEXPERT GmbH, Germany, and responsible for new developments.
If we take a look to the process chain of producing a plastic part, simulation is one of the fundamental things to start with. If it comes to cycle time and part costs, cooling simulation is important.
And this is where the idea of IR-ThermalSystem was born. Setters were asking about the accuracy of cooling simulations and how can you prove the value of simulation better than using an infrared camera and check the part temperature?
Over the years, IR-ThermalSystem has grown more and more in functionality and today it is much more appreciated on the shopfloor level.
This course is for all who are new to IR-ThermalSystem and will explain the basics needed to start using the benefit of the system.
