This term refers to a special network cable in which the transmit and receive wires are cross-wired within the connector. This crossover wiring allows two similar network devices to be connected directly without the need for an intermediate switch or hub. In industrial plastics processing systems, such a cable may be used for direct communication between controllers, machines, or diagnostic equipment. The RJ45 connectors follow the standard used for Ethernet networks and support high-speed data transmission. This enables efficient exchange of machine parameters, process data, and diagnostic information between devices.
