Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
This term refers to a software-based solution that supports companies in the manufacturing industry to efficiently plan,
control and monitor their production processes.
The software serves as a link between higher-level corporate planning and actual implementation at store floor level.
The MES is therefore the process-related level in a production management system. The term production control system is often used synonymously.
The real-time data visualized by the MES and functions for production tracking, quality assurance and resource management ensure optimal execution of the production processes.
